With the
exception of the Master Models all the
Corinthian figures produced to date are
moulded from plastic. On occasions, these
plastic models have been made, but for some
reason the figures never made it to the
shops. This occurred quite frequently in the
early days with a large number of different
FAPL figures being made. What happened to
these figures is not known. In the case of
Prostars, some of them could have be
repainted and sold in different kits in a
later series. For the headliners, this
wasn't possible so the figures were never
released. In additional to these, there are
'First Paints' which are the initial figures
painted in the club colours, but without the
sponsors logo or shirt numbers. By looking
at the Master Models that Corinthian have
sold in recent years it is possible to make
a guess at which figures may have been
produced in plastic. The other way is to
look in the old catalogues and promotional
material released by Corinthian to see if
any unreleased figures appear. The problem
with this is that it may have been the
Master Model that was photographed. The only
real way of knowing is to actually see a
photo of these unreleased figures. |
